Wayward Pixie (muggle name: Liá) hails from the lush, fairy forests and wild, rocky coastline of Mendocino County in Northern California, but now calls Nashville, TN home. She has been in love with dance and performance since she was a small child, from lip syncing Paula Abdul in her bedroom for a stuffed animal audience to cheerleading for her local Pop Warner football team. As an adult her passion for the arts grew stronger as she became immersed in alternative communities that embraced creativity.

She is a wandering showgirl who spent many years of her life traveling the world and training in many different dance and performance styles. Specializing in burlesque, fire dance, and belly dance fusion, she has a penchant for all things unconventional and she loves to express herself creatively through movement. Her acts range from sultry and ritualistic to comedic and campy, and she’s definitely known to throw some social commentary in there.

Over the years she has been blessed with many opportunities including performing at both the London and Humboldt Burlesque festivals, participating for seven years in the Burning Man Conclave, touring for two seasons under the big top with Flynn Creek Circus, being featured in the Best of Burlesque 2021, and has been happy to be a part of many events and festivals far and wide. When she’s not on stage, she loves to share the benefits of dance and burlesque with others through teaching.

Now that she’s in Nashville, she is elated to be working with Pyroglyphics as well as getting to work with so many other talented artists and musicians in the community, performing at some of the city’s most iconic venues. She has also spearheaded her own variety performance troupe, The Mystery Flavours. One of her greatest joys in life is to take in art forms of all kinds and to be able to share her art with others. She truly believes that art and creativity are an essential part of life, and are healing gifts to ourselves and the world.
